Stump Grinding

Stump grinding is the best way to remove unwanted tree stumps because it’s efficient, safe, and eco-friendly.

Prevents Regrowth – Stump grinding removes the root system, stopping new shoots from sprouting.

Stops Pests – Decaying stumps attract termites, ants, and other unwanted critters.
Enhances Aesthetics – A clean, stump-free yard looks more polished and usable.
Eliminates Hazards – No more tripping hazards or obstacles for mowers and landscaping.
Cost-Effective – Compared to full stump removal, grinding is quicker and less disruptive to your yard.

Nature of Stump Grinding Service
  • Stump grinding is the process of mechanically removing tree stumps to below ground level using a grinding machine. It does not include the complete removal of roots.

  • The depth of grinding is typically 15 ~ 30 cm below the surface unless otherwise agreed upon.

  • Shavings are left on-site as the machine goes below ground level and over a few weeks the shavings settle to become the new ground level.

Surface & Surrounding Area Impact

  • Tree roots may extend beyond the grinding area and could continue to decompose over time, potentially causing ground settling or sprouting.

  • Stump grinding creates debris, wood chips, and soil disturbance. While we strive to minimise mess, some level of cleanup will be required after the work is completed.

  • Heavy machinery may cause minor surface damage to lawns, gardens, or paved areas.

  • The stump grinder can only grind stumps. It cannot grind concrete, rocks or metal. Stump grinding can not be undertaken in garden beds where ornamental features, such as garden decorations, edging, rocks, or pavers, are present around the stump.
