Gold Coast Council Application 101
The Gold Coast City Council has extensive environmental laws in place in order to protect our beautiful and biodiverse city.
Firstly, have a look at the Council's checklist to see if you do need permission:
Once you have decided, "Yes, my tree does need council approval, then you are ready to begin a fun lot of paperwork (which is ironic because making paper requires tree removal).

The next step is to upload a DA Form 1 and Site Plan for your application. You can download this file by clicking on the PDF icon below.
After uploading and paying the fee to Council, a council arborist will complete a site visit and you should have an answer within 2 weeks.
